Firefighters and Paramedics for Public Safety Endorse Moore
On behalf of the Firefighters and Paramedics for Public Safety and the Suncoast Professional Firefighters and Paramedics, Local 2546, we commend you on your willingness to run for and serve in public office.
As you know, we take the candidate selection process very seriously and make every effort to find the candidate that we feel will best represent both the community and our organization’s interests.
After much discussion amongst our Firefighters and Paramedics for Public Safety members, we would like to offer you our endorsement for your election in the North Port City Commission Seat 2.
“When we consider endorsing a candidate, we look for someone who is genuine and works hard to bring people together as a team by listening and being willing to compromise. Jacqueline is that person and we proudly support her for North Port City Commission District Seat 2!”
— Shawn Brennan, President, AFSCME Local 3432
One need only look up, and outward, to see that we are experiencing a crisis of character. Throughout the globe, but also in our own communities, there is collective concern about the declining level of conscience and positive people-treatment exhibited by our leaders. If there was ever a time when civility was needed, the time is now. To thrive in these difficult times, our leaders must not only lead with civility, but also work to create conditions where others choose to do the same. As such, I applaud the courage of Jacqueline Moore to rise, to speak out, and to foster change and it is with great pride that I endorse her for a commission seat for the city of North Port.
